@wendell, I just went through this myself. The pump leaked and it took a long time to prime.

Parts are not available. I went directly to the manufacture and talked to someone I trust there. They even went as far as to have someone rummage through the R&D rooms. But in the meantime I figured out a solution to my problem.

The pump is actually a miniature gear pump....a standard pump for powered sprayers. I took mine apart. Everything looked fine except there was no grease in the stuffing box. (the stuffing box is a small compartment where the shaft comes out of the pump. This area should be filled with a waterproof grease)

I filled the box up with white lithium, reassembled the unit and it works great! It primes immediately and doesn't leak.

I have the chemical sprayer that you reviewed and having problem with the pump leaking. Any ideas on how to get a new replacement pump. It's so easy to replace, if I can get parts.

@ Scott,

Actually the Sprayer is alive and well! But it is getting a new life (with a new part number) in the Lawn & Garden Department alongside the C3 string trimmer, hedge trimmer, blower and chainsaw.

This tool has been discontinued by Sears. Apparently it had too low a sales volume to continue. I like mine!
