Tools For Christmas, Tool Two – Multi-Tools!

I’m not going to spend a lot of time bragging about Multi-tools.  Every tool manufacture has had one out for about a year now and if you don’t know all the advantages of owning one…… I use my Craftsman Cordless a lot!

I selected four that have a good reputation for you to select from for your Christmas Gifts.  One cordless, one bargain, and two great corded Multi-tools.

NOTE: Stay away from off-brand multi-tools like the Harbor Freight “Oscillating Multifunction Power Tool” They don’t use industry standard blades like the Craftsman and Fein tools.

The Craftsman NEXTEC 12 volt Cordless is arguably the most popular.  It is great for homeowners, hobbyists, and small remodeling projects.  It uses the same batteries as the other NEXTEC tools so you if you have an Auto Hammer this is the one to buy. (you will then have two batteries. )

Craftsman NEXTEC Multi-Tool

Cordless: Buy Here From Sears: Craftsman 17438 Nextec 12-volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Multi-Tool ENERGY STAR

Craftsman Corded Multi-tool

Corded: Buy Here From Sears: Craftsman 2.0 Amp Compact A/C Multi-Tool This is new from Sears.  It’s corded and only $79!  The same quality as the cordless NEXTEC Version.  Uses the same tools as the NEXTEC and Fein.

Dremel: Buy Here From Sears: Dremel 6300-05 1.5 amp Corded Multi-Max Oscillating Tool Kit If you prefer Dremel here is their multi-tool.  I like the feel.  It’s comfortable to use.  It only uses Dremel accessories.

Fein: Buy Here From Sears: Fein Multi-Master Tool Kit The Fein is the standard.  All the other multi-tools want to  be just like this one.  It is a professional tool.  (and priced accordingly)  If you use a multi-tool everyday or you have a large project just buy it!

You can buy any of these tools at Sears.com.  Have it shipped to your home or pick up at your nearest Sears
