Sears Improves Sears PurchaseProtect!
In a time where most retailers are dropping warranties or making them a lot less valuable Sears is drastically improving their optional Sears PurchaseProtect Plan (SPP). Sears is increasing the Sears PurchaseProtect Plan from two years on Craftsman and Kenmore products to three years. Previously Sears PurchaseProtect Plan was only one year on non-Sears brands and they have increased that to two years.
The Sears PurchaseProtect Plan is essentially an optional money back guarantee. If the product you buy the SPP on fails in the designated time period, Sears will give you the purchase price back. You will get the money back in the form of a Sears Gift Card and you can use that to buy a replacement to the item that failed or purchase anything else in the store or on their website.
