This Blog Is New But I’m Not! OR Why Should You Trust Me.

A district manager for Sears recently introduced me to his boss as “Mr Craftsman.” What he didn’t realize though is that I am not “Mr. Craftsman.” I’m just an normal guy who knows a lot about tools and is willing to teach others how to use them.

I am unique though from the thousands of other “experts” out here on the world-wide-web. I have over 25 years experience teaching tool use to industrial electricians, maintenance mechanics, and their supervisors. During those years I was heavily involved with the development and implementation of technical training for High Schools, Junior Colleges and the Nuclear Power Industry. In 1995 the maintenance training I was responsible for was listed by the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) as the “model” for the entire nuclear power plant industry.

I was a technical and process peer evaluator for the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) for over 10 years, and an American Society of Training and Development (ASTD) board member for 6 years.

I’ve been using hand and power tools around the home, and buying tools for the home and industry for over 35 years. I have personally remodeled four homes and helped hundreds of other women and men fix, repair and remodel their homes and businesses. Many of those I helped have suggested that I teach others about tools.

So…. I ‘ve just spent the last six months researching the best way to put my years of tool experience to use helping others and this website is the best way. I will be able to not only help those I know, but also all of you out there who may never meet me. You can use my experience to create your own spot in the world.

The purpose of ToolBoxHero and this blog is to offer hand and power tools to the craftsman, the homeowner, the apartment dweller, the woodworker. The information and products offered here are for equal use by everyone.

My hope is that you come to trust this website and use the information and products offered here to enrich and enjoy your life to it’s fullest.

All opinions on tool use and tool quality are my own. I do not use manufactures literature or press releases to write about the tools discussed on this website. I am not affiliated with nor do I receive any funds from any tools manufactures, tool distributors, or tool suppliers.

Manufactures are welcome to send me tools to analyze for quality and for reference, but “sent” tools will be given the same objective and personal review as the tools I purchase and own.
